As an exercise, I have been shooting in color. I thought it might be good to hone my skills of observation. And boy was I right. The background is much more important. And things like ugly halters and bright orange traffic cones, sure do jump out at you. I think it is an exercise that I will use from time to time from now on. I posted my images on the reference library of the Equine Art Guild for my fellow members to use as reference shots for their paintings.
